Hello and Welcome to Jane’s Jolly Dog Boarding Services!

I am Jane Turner – an experienced, relaxed, dog-loving person who has owned dogs all my life. Being brought up on a smallholding in South Norfolk, I went on to do care in the community for years but found I was always returning to caring for dogs and animals. I have always had a hankering to have dogs in my life, to enrich my life as much as theirs. They are part of my family living in my home alongside a very well-natured, nurturing, retired service dog who loves every dog and everyone.

I have always found it hard to find the perfect holiday home for our service dog/dogs as they are not allowed to go into kennels and there are not so many volunteers in our area now. I have volunteered with service dogs for over 15 years and regularly take our retired service dog into elderly people’s homes for companionship and comfort, which they and our dog enjoy immensely.

I am trained in canine First Aid, am fully insured and licensed through South Norfolk and Breckland Council. I hold a current DBS which has been in place since they started in 2012 and annual CRB checks before that since 2002.

I offer dog boarding, doggy day care, dog walking and pop-ins for cats and dogs. Dog boarding starts at £35 per 24 hours dependent on your dog’s requirements, and an extra enrichment package if required. I am a registered massage therapist so can hand massage your dog along with combing, if you provide the equipment you use at home. I would make you aware of anything out of the ordinary and you could then tell me if normal for your dog and already checked. Also if your dog needs a some free-running I use a local free-run secure field at Great Moulton (Willow Farm Walkies ) which is great if your dog needs more than walking on a lead.

I am passionate about making every dog feel safe and comfortable. I take real pride in getting to know each dog as an individual – I am kind and patient and always like to keep things consistent.

As there is now a bypass Long Stratton is now a quiet dog-friendly area to live, so whether your dog likes to walk down to the local dog-friendly café, pop into dog-friendly shops, walk for miles in Tyrrels Wood, along Boudicca Way, or walk Haden’s Lane across to Wacton Common, there are many enriched walks – far too many to mention.

Many of my clients often tell me their dogs start pulling them towards my driveway as they are eager to come round, or they start barking when they know where they are in the car, usually near the Lotus garage, as they are so excited knowing they are coming to stay with me and my retired service dog.

I’d love to hear from you!
